Registry fix

It is just good computer maintenance policy to use a registry fix program every couple of months, it keeps your computer fine tuned and running well. The computer registry is one of the most important components to the windows operating system. In fact you could say this is a central part of the whole operating system. Anything you do on the computer uses the registry. Even if all you do is surf the net, you are still using the windows registry, even when you can't see it. To keep your registry working properly, you should use a Registry fix program every once in a while to keep things running smoothly.

The windows registry changes every time you make a change to your operating system, add a program, delete a program, or whatever. Because you make changes so frequently sometimes windows leaves fragments behind from these changes, and this causes the registry to become faulty.

To keep this from happening, you should clean your registry regularly and there are many different registry cleaning tools online that can help you do this.

Cleaning the Registry Manually

You can delete fragmented files manually from your directory, but truthfully, unless you are a computer programmer, or one of the windows programmers, you probably won't be able to tell which files should be there and which shouldn't. Plus, if you delete any files by mistake you may not ever be able to access windows again and you will have to reformat and lose your information.

Using a registry cleaner tool

There are various different tools on the market that can help you clean your registry. These are fairly easy to use; you just need to download one of them. This usually takes about 5 to 10 minutes. Once that is done all you have to do is run the program, and the program will show you how many errors are in the registry. It is probably a good idea to create a backup of your current registry in case something should go wrong, and then after creating the backup you can fix the errors.

The whole process takes at best about 10 minutes and there is no reason why everyone should not be doing this once in a while. After all, we all change the oil and perform maintenance on our cars, so that they don't break down. Why don't we do the same for our computers, so that we don't have to go out and buy a new one, or call the computer repairman. Doing a registry fix every 2 to 3 months is not going to take a lot of time out of your schedule, and you will be 100% grateful that you don't have those expensive repair bills.
